My Approach

My approach to counselling is integrative as I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all solution. I’ll work with your unique perspective, adapting my style to meet your needs:

At the core of my work is Person-Centred therapy, which emphasises the healing power of the therapeutic relationship itself – it’s all about that click between me and you, then my further studies in Psychotherapy can help us explore unconscious patterns from your past that may be affect your present.

I also draw on other approaches to address specific challenges. For example, CBT techniques are great for anxiety or breaking free from negative core beliefs. BA (Behavioural Activation) can help you If you’re dealing with depression. Elements of ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) are great for getting clarity on your values and making life decisions that align with what truly matters to you. And finally, I’ve studied a trauma-informed approach because I believe unresolved trauma often lies at the heart of many of our struggles.

This comprehensive approach allows us to explore and address your challenges effectively, fostering growth and healing in a manner best suited to your individual needs.

I originally trained in a Humanistic approach to Person Centred Counselling at Nottingham University during which I worked for Place2Be for four years’ in schools conducting Play Therapy sessions. I went on to co-run an Art Therapy group with adults exhibiting complex mental health diagnosis during a years’ experience of Art Psychotherapy at MA level. I also worked with Schizophrenics in a support worker capacity in Australia. I went on to volunteer through YMCA with adolescents and adults during the Covid pandemic and studied to become a certified Trauma Therapist to better support my clients. I worked with the award winning private practice BCS Mental Health Services in South Wales working with a wide range of issues, which supported me to go on to focus on growing my own private practice in London and work towards gaining accredited status with the BACP. I have more recently moved to Nice, France in the Côte d'Azur region where I am exited to build my practice and support local international community.
